VERY VERY IMPORTANT:
The pope has announced a visit to Germany in the week of the beaver symposium, he will also come to Munich.
We therefore URGENTLY recommend, to book accomodation as soon as possible.
Also: if you want to visit the Oktoberfest (starting after the symposium), keep your rooms.
Freising and its vicinity offers a number of hotels and inns with bed and breakfast. Detailed information is available from the tourist information center:

We have pre-booked a low budget accomodation for 48 people in Thalhausen, a village about 7 km from the university. From there, we will provide a shuttle service in the morning and in the evening. This accomodation is indended primarily for particiants from Eastern Europe and for students.
The price is about EUR 10,00 per night + one-time EUR 5,50 for bed linen.
The symposium campfire dinner will also be in the garden of this place.
From the hotels and inns in Freising we would recommend the followings. The reccomendation is based on: the hotels offer quite good prices, there are enough rooms for a bigger number of participants, and there is good connection to the univerity.

Located in Thalhausen, about 7 km from the University. Itīs in the same village as our low budget accomodation, so participants staying in this hotel could also use the shuttle service mentioned above. And - you can walk home to the hotel form the campfire dinner.
The hotel has 65 beds, prices (including breakfast) are EUR 45,- for a single room and EUR 68,- for a double room
Boardinghaus Freising

Located in downtown Freising, about 3 km from the university (you can use buses to get to the university)
The Boardinghaus Freising offers single rooms, double rooms and appartements in 2 houses for a total of about 50 pople Itīs intended for short term living in Freising, so you have care yourself for breakfast. Prices depend on duration of stay and start at about 25,- per person and night.
Hotel Lerner

This hotel ist 500 m from the university. It offers 32 rooms. Prices range, depending on facilites of the rooms, from EUR 23,- to EUR 55,- per person and night. Breakfast is an extra EUR 6,-

This hotel ist in the center of Freising. Prices range from EUR 36,- for a single room to EUR 78,- for a triple room. Total of 60 beds.
